Karen has been working in the Nashville music community for more than 20 years, singing, recording and producing records for numerous artists, including The John Pizzarelli Trio, MaryAnn Price, The Sweethearts of the Rodeo, Tom T. Hall, Lynn Anderson, Clarence Gatemouth Brown, Koko Taylor, Janie Fricke, Freddy Fender, Jack Green, Anita Bryant, Dave Isaacs, the Green Bay Packers and the Tennessee Titans. Her live performances include Fan Fair, Tin Pan South, The Ralph Emery Show, Crook and Chase, WSM and too many clubs to count. Karen has also hosted and produced a Nashville TV music show called "Writers Night" and has been involved in several music videos.
Karen has written songs in practically every music genre: Swing, Jazz, Blues, Americana, Country, Novelty, Children, Folk and more, including co-writing the popular "Fly Away Home" with Dave Isaacs.
Her most recent album was recorded and co-produced with The John Pizzarelli Trio (Warner Bros Jazz/Concord Jazz), garnering great reviews and Gavin Chart airplay. It is Big Band, heavy on the horns, originals as well as a few old jazz gems!
Karen also produced, sang on, and marketed "Hangin Around the Moon" for Royal Wade Kimes (Wonderment Records). The album was awarded WESTERN ALBUM OF THE YEAR in 2000.
